*Position: Controller
*Location: Santa Clara, CA
*Salary Range : Up to $120,000
*Role Description
SK Siltron America Inc, the worldwide leader in the silicon wafer industry, is looking for a Corporate Controller to join in Santa Clara Office. The Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities including, but not limited to, supervising accounting staff, responsible for general ledger, insurance, cash management and inter-company transactions as well as ensuring the timely preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Corporate Policies. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee all of the company’s accounting functions and personnel. The Corporate controller will report directly to the company’s President and be a key advisor.
*Responsibilities
• Ensure the financial and administrative framework for operations are effective, including strong internal controls.
• Supervise the month-end close process, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll.
• Responsibility for the company’s cash management such as releasing payments, cash balance checks, financing, and loan.
• Supervision of Expense planning, budget, and expenditure management
• Serve as a key player in identifying cost and revenue opportunities that will support the achievement of company goals.
• Manage our various U.S. tax requirements, such as income tax, property, payroll, franchise, sales and use taxes
• Confirm the financial statements. (US GAAP and Korean IFRS)
• Produces and analyzes all monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare work papers to assist external CPAs with the annual tax returns.
• Leads annual administration of employee benefits plans.
• Supervision HR, including hiring and training new employees
• Reporting and supporting the requests of leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 7-10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry with international accounting experience
• High level proficiency with MS Office, ERP system experience a plus
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
• Ability to manage and train accounting staff
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Perform tasks with coworkers through responsibility and timely manner
• Attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and compliance in accounting and SOX compliance knowledge
• Fluency in English/Korean, and experience working with Korea-based parent companies would be an added advantage.
